...(cough) Let's continue Day 2 and 3, shall we?

Day 2:
Waken up by the sounds of shuffling and whispers... I sat up and so did the others. We took our toiletries and change of clothes and headed to the girls' toilet. It was 5 am in Indonesia time and 6 am in Singapore time. Some were already awake, it was cold, dark and windy. Brushed our teeth, washed up and got changed... IN THE TENT >:)

We arranged the mess in our tent and packed our Day bags. Since we woke up way earlier than most, we just strolled around the whole campsite 'till everyone started coming out of their tents and rushing to the toilet. Soon everyone was ready and we all assembled at our usual place. A short briefing about what was happening today and we had our breakfast. After breakfast, we boarded a tiny bus that carries only 27... (or was it 28?) and left for our visit to a Local school. It was a 30 minute ride so we had time to take a nappy.

20 minutes into the ride, Prissy woke me up and soon we were looking at a small and scruffy school with little children in blue PE attire all looking at us... (or maybe the Bus) some were playing with stilts, some with hoola hoops (got my own at home *winks*) and others playing Ga sing or smtg like that. I bought noodles for them, and the teachers got candies for them in little red packets and we were suppose to give it to any of them. I didn't like the sound of it b'coz it sounds kinda BIASED.

One of the students offered me to play the stilts but I just politely said "No. It's okay, you play." I spoke english but I wasn't sure he understood so I nodded sideways just incase (...I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO BALANCE ON IT) I can't even balance on a pogo stick, c'mon! The classes were really tiny and they were still using chalk boards. I have to say, the kids are ADORABLE. I was going whack over this little girl in pigtails. Oh and the most "WHACK" thing was when Prissy and I saw this little kid eating the noodles without boiling it and he seems satified (bulges eyes...) what a shocker, the dad didn't even care.

I wanted to give my red packets to this 2 boys sitting at the corner of the school, and I don't think they were schooling here since the 2 boys weren't wearing uniform and they were just sitting at the far left so we did I guess. Went back outside and saw the guys playing Ga Sing with the kids and some playing the stilts, HOW DID THEY DO THAT!? A couple of us could play the stilts (sulks) ...then we took pictures with the kids. Azfar wanted to be in one of the solo pictures of the kids... what a loon. We told him, we all could after a solo picture, he walked away acting like he's sad. L-O-L.

Then I got bonkers and suddenly dared Aza to hug any random kids. So she did, the kids she hugged was both confused and smiling. My stomach hurt from laughing, it was HILARIOUS. Then soon we had to go, so we said "Thank you (schools' name)" in malay. I forgot the school name but Aza told me it meant Yellow School or smtg, HUUUWHAT!? The whole school made a line to shake hands with us, (...OMG) so it took awhile, awkward also. Then suddenly I shook hands with this guy that doesn't even look like a primary schooler, maybe even our age. So when I shooked his hands, I was like... "HEH!?" (well in my mind, of course)

Boarded the bus and took another short nap. We were heading to Gunung Bintan. Our next activity... *theme songs*... TREKKING. In the bus, from the distance you could already see how tall Gunung Bintan was! They told us it was 340m high, ...BLIMEY O'REILLY! We had a short briefing and this funny part when the teacher told us that some has been using this particular mosquito repellent that... yes, repells mosquitoes BUT attracts bees and wasps. HAHAHA! Geniuuuus. Brand was called "Off!" Off my ARSE. Quite a few used it, fortunately, it wasn't me. ALL HAIL!

Then we started our trek. OH EM GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Its exhausting like poop! I could just shout very loudly, "CURSE YOU MOUNTAIN!" but as the instructor said, Be kind to Nature or it'll rain and make the pathway muddy... psh (rolls eyes) Then unfortunately, poor Daymi drank too much water and puked halfway. Well I puked out only water, so I knew. We took a 5 minute break, thanks to me. (sorry guys... HEHEHE) we were left behind by the others. Then they asked me the GOLDEN question (L-O-L) "Wanna continue or back down?"

Others said to continue, claimed we were REACHING... lol. Some said, if I'm too tired, its really okay. But, nononononono, Daymi doesn't give up. She said she'll continue, HURRAH! I said "claim" just now b'coz we weren't even near the summit yet. It took us like... 10++ minutes more!? There was this incident when Shiddhu (guy climbing infront of me) slipped and fell on ME. I grazed my hand on this big rock and had cuts. Then there was this other one when he was going over this fallen tree, he KICKED me "accidently" he claims.

I was like, "DO YOU HATE ME!?!?" making my famous "face". Gosh, the whole time he was the one hurting and falling on me and I'm the victim. When we were reaching the summit, it was the hardest. We had to hold on a rope to get up. Then finally we reached the bloody summit, TIRED! I finally drank water, the whole journey up I didn't drink since I didn't want to puke AGAIN. Then... we took class pictures. After wards, we had our 5 minutes break, YAY! Got to sit down and chat for awhile before going back down. It was as tiring as going up. JEEEEEZ! I was always this tiny close to fall everytime but Ayuni and Zhenping comes to the rescue :-) I'd like to give credits to AYUNI and ZHENPING!

Then we got to reach this check point to rest and meet up with the other classes and that's when I finished my bottle. HO! Reached the FULL SOLID GROUND!!! ...(inhale, exhale) then had our lunch. Afterwards, we got back into our buses and it took an hour to get back to the campsite. The funny thing was everyone in the bus was asleep! Excluding the driver, pity. When I woke up from my nap, I turned around to see everyone asleep even the instructors, that's how tired we are.

After looking around, I went back to my nap :-) Prissy again woke me up and we were back at the campsite. It was raining! So we all headed to the big tent with logs as seats. The bad news was when the instructors said our stuff in the tent would be wet so when the rain stops, we had to go get our bags and put it on the big tent temporarily. MY BAG! (gasps)... so for now we're suppose to be doing Campfire preparation. We got scolded b'coz no one was coming up with ideas and the others were already practicing.

We ended up doing a skit about Mangrove Replantating experience combining with our school values, Gracious, Integrity, Fortitude, Teamowork, Empathetic & Discipline, G.I.F.T.E.D. How tacky is that!? So we did, Aza, me and Prissy ended up doing Discipline. We planned to show discipline when Prissy and I were were bullying Aza and throwing so-called mud and she'd throw back then that's when our "teacher", Ms Foong comes in and "disciplines" us.

After planning (and raining), we headed back to our tent and yes, the tent was wet, even our stuff inside. Ayuni, Prissy and Zhenping lost their towels! They dried it in a twine but when we got back, it was GONE. So I accompanied them NOT to bathe. We just washed up a bit and changed our clothes. After putting our bags in the big tent, we assembled for a briefing then walked to this place (i have no idea what) but it looks like a community club or smtg.

They said we were having a buffet! It was dark so brought our torchlights and spooked and maybe played around. Reached this private hall with a buffet... BUT NO TABLES. Again!? We've been eating breakfast, lunch and dinner on the ground and when we're having a buffet, GROUND too!? Blimey o'Reilly. But I have to say, the food was AWESOME. I don't know if you guys noticed but... I sneaked around 4-6 honeydew wedges using my hands. IT WAS DELICIOUS, can't help it!

Then after that, before leaving to go to the Campfire, we played this "Pom" a thing of a jig. I have no idea how to explain. Its like cheering to call the other class and the other class must pass it on to another class. If the class had a late reaction to reply, the other classes floods you with Boos. It was really fun, I screamed a lot. HURRAH! Headed to the campfire we had logs for seats again. And... it smelt like a zoo (we'll know why in Day 3) The wood for the campfire was infront of was. Not lit yet.

Then when it was lit, the fire roared and you could feel the heat, like you were standing infront of it. It was a nice feeling for a windy night. You couldn't stop staring at the fire flicking. We had a couple of funny cheers before we started the performance for each class. I was downright NERVOUS. I hate acting or doing anything at all infront of a lot of people. Watched each class act go by until it was our class's turn until we had to our turn to act our Discipline.

Aza asked me, before acting. "How will I know if you're throwing mud?" I said, "Don't worry. I aim right."... and so I did. When it was our turn, I found a stick (don't know why, though it doesn't look like mud) and threw it and hit right on her head. I think I heard people laugh when I did it. It wasn't so bad, after all. Then Azfar was asked to beatbox. I'm very sure he's happy about that. The instructor tried copying him but he ended up sounding different. Cheers for Azfar! Very fun actually!

Then after that I was feeling much better and we were singing and dancing foolishly, doing as the instructor says. It was a night to remember... then... it came to the ending of the campfire. The lead instructor gave a meaningful speech before saying Goodnight and dismissing us back to the campsite. But as always, before sleeping, we have debriefings. Everyone was sleepy, I could see, but Ms Foo pushed us to cheer one last time before sleeping, giving it our last energy. So we did, real loud, letting everyone stare at us and then off into deep, deep, sleep in our tent.

(PS: Was a pretty hectic day, yes, that's why this post is wordy but it has all the details. So if you are lazy, then stay clueless. )
